OFFICIAL: Bruno Gunn as Brutus!
Lionsgate just announced that Bruno Gunn will be playing Brutus in Catching Fire!

Santa Monica, CA, August 8, 2012- Lionsgate® and the filmmakers of THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE are pleased to announce that Bruno Gunn has been cast in the role of Brutus in the much anticipated film adaptation of Suzanne Collins’ worldwide smash hit novel Catching Fire. Brutus is a former Career victor from District 2.
Gunn has co-starred in a variety of films, most recently the comedy hit Bad Teacher, and is recognizable to TV audiences from frequent guest starring roles including on “The Office”, “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” “Sons Of Anarchy,” “Oz,” and “Prison Break.”

ShockYa reports that Victor Gojcaj is up for the role of Brutus alongside Kevin Durand.
We were emailed directly with the information that Victor Gojcaj (“The Taking of Pelham 123,” “Unstoppable”) is currently in negotiations to star in “Catching Fire” as Brutus!
Gojcaj doesn’t have the role outright just yet–he’s competing with Kevin Durand for the role in the film. Kevin Nash, a former WWF fighter, was also considered for the role
.
Victor Gojcaj has appeared in The Taking of Pelham 123 and Unstoppable.
Kevin Durand , on the other hand has a quite number of films & TV shows he appeared in. Such as Lost, Dark Angel and films like Legion, Real Steel, I am Number Four, X-Men Origins: Wolverine and more.

Meanwhile, Romeo Miller (aka Lil’ Romeo) has told MTV that he has met with Lionsgate but not for a specific role.
“I actually just met with Lionsgate about that, so you may be seeing me in one of the ‘Hunger Games.’ That’s all I’m saying,” Miller said. “Not a particular role, we just had a meeting, seeing if it was something I was interested in. I can’t really talk too much, or they’ll kill me. You know how ‘The Hunger Games’ is.”
