Due to the success of The Hunger Games in IMAX, the sequel, Catching Fire will not only be released in IMAX but some scenes will also be shot using IMAX high resolution cameras. Catching Fire IMAX will be released on Nov. 22, 2013

The Hunger Games had a limited IMAX run in the US and hopefully, Catching Fire IMAX would now be available in the Philippines too. We’ll update as soon as we get a confirmation about this.

The crystal-clear images, coupled with IMAX’s customized theatre geometry and powerful digital audio, create a unique environment that will make audiences feel as if they are in the movie.

It was previously announced that The Hunger Games IMAX will be available in our country but SM Cinema has confirmed that The Hunger Games IMAX will no longer be available in Asian countries, including the Philippines. The IMAX format will only be available in the US. 

Good news is, The Hunger Games will be available in 2D Format.
