NECA Reveals Second Wave Of Hunger Games Figures
Expected to be available this August.
As expected, The Hunger Games will not be exempted from parodies (and we’ve already seen a handful already). But this time, the people behind the Scary Movies will take on the challenge.
Scary Movie writers Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer have announced, via Variety, their intention to write and direct a spoof film based on this year’s runaway hit, The Hunger Games. Titled The Starving Games, their film will follow their series off big-screen parodies that include Date Movie,Epic Movie, Meet the Spartans, Disaster Movie and Vampires Suck.
As with all of their films, the parodies within the pair’s The Starving Games won’t be limited to the world of Suzanne Collins’ Panem but will, instead, incorporate other recent big screen hits like Marvel’s The Avengers, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part II and Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows.

Josh Hutcherson on his life post-Hunger Games
Josh talked to MTV about how Hunger Games changed his life and also about his new tattoo!
“I’ve changed a lot. I wear nothing but high-end designer suits. I fly private everywhere,” he joked to MTV News about his superstar status. “I haven’t changed at all.
“I was expecting it to be a huge difference and it hasn’t been, and I can’t tell you how relieved that I am,” he added. “It’s been so low-key and people who do recognize me have been awesome, cool and not crazy.”
With all the hype that has surrounded the film, Hutcherson had certain expectations for how his life would change. “I did for sure [think it would be different]. Everybody was telling me ‘It’s gonna be crazy.’ I go everywhere all the time and nobody stops me,” he said. “I’m good with what I have.”
Like Harry Potter or Da Vinci Code, The Hunger Games has now contributed to the so called “Literary Tourism”.
Reports say there is on-going planning and creation of a literary tourism site, in which adventurous fans may live out the experience.
Those who dare can immerse themselves in adrenaline-pumping action that will unleash the inner hero or heroine in them. Archery, camouflage, shelter building, fire making, and other survival classes will help them become ready to fight to the death.
For those in search of even more breath taking thrills, a zip line through the North Carolinian forest awaits.
North Carolina’s state tourism division has taken advantage of this so-called “fandemonium” by creating an itinerary for tourists who want a first-hand experience of the story that was once only accessible through the imagination.
