Aside from promoting The Hunger Games: Catching Fire at the Cannes Film Festival, the festival also serves as a platform for production studios, like Lionsgate to acquire and sell films to buyers. This year, they have managed to sell nine films including The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 and 2 ! :)

           In addition to the previous interviews we’ve posted, here’s one from Yahoo Screen which features not only interviews with Jennifer Lawrence, Sam Claflin and director Francis Lawrence but also some clips from the Catching Fire teaser trailer and snippets of the Catching Fire party at Cannes.

           Jennifer was asked if people have been treating her differently after winning an Oscar and she jokingly replies that “Nobody at work treats me differently, I wish they would. Everybody’s mean as usual… No nobody’s mean!”.
           Sam confessed that he’s not prepared for the “Catching Fire madness”. Director Francis Lawrence divulged that fans can expect a faithful adaptation, he elaborates that “there’s very little that’s been taken out. There’s some additional scenes with some of the characters, with Plutarch and Snow” and although he has a different style of directing he promises that it has “stayed true to the world it has created”.

            Jennifer adds that the movie is “Visually…bigger this time. We get a little deeper into the Capitol, and Katniss is trying to get her life back together after the Games, suffering from post traumatic stress…”
At the end part of the interview Sam also shares with us what his favorite moment on set “It’d have to be giving Josh Hutcherson CPR. My mouth touching his… was a beautiful moment that’ll live with me the rest of my life. We’re meant to be together.”

New interview with Jennifer Lawrence and Sam Claflin. Jennifer discusses how much she’s enjoying being at the Cannes Film Festival and that Catching Fire will be a “visually huge and stunning” movie. Sam talks about the pressure he felt to live up to the role of Finnick but says that the Hunger Games family has been truly welcoming and promises that FrancisLawrence has kept “in tune” with what Gary Ross created but is also giving a “fresh take on it”.
