In a few days, we will be celebrating two important things in our fandom: 1) The start of the one year countdown for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire and HGP’s 2nd anniversary as an organization!
Hence, from November 22 to November 27, we will be giving away a Hunger Games Item EVERY NIGHT through various contests.
Instructions will be given every night during HGPPrimetime except for the Nov. 27 contest which is already posted.

“Young Filipino fan re-writes ‘Hunger Games’ - literally and word-for-word - on illustration board”
Kia Alampay, a 13 year old grade school student, showed her love for The Hunger Games by re-writing the ENTIRE book (THG) word-for-word on a piece of illustration board! Yes, all 370 pages, at least 100,00 words!
She finished it in time for the opening of the movie (and took her three months to finish it) and presented it to her best friend, Monique Espiritu, as a graduation gift.
We’ve always known that Filipino HG fans are amazing, but Kia gave a whole new definition and she raised the bar on how to become a real hardcore HG Fan!

The First Philippine Hunger Games Teaser Trailer and Announcements from HGPPrimetime!
Announcements:
- To all those asking, we’ll be releasing the photos of the Tracker Jacker and the Philippine Hunger Games TOMORROW NIGHT! Our victors are still watermarking the photos, so we ask for your patience. :)
- It’s official: meet-up will be held in the Mall of Asia vicinity (or surrounding areas). MoA won over Alabang Town Center by an overwhelming margin, according to the poll that we’ve posted. Meet-up will be held on February 25 (Saturday), lunch/early afternoon. Specific place and time will be announced soon. We’ll keep you posted!
And for something that we’re really excited about. To make things brief:
- We’re releasing a mini-web series of the recently-concluded Philippine Hunger Games! Format will be like a TV episode, viewable on our YouTube account! Our Technical and Multimedia Districts are joining forces to make this possible!
- The mini-web series will premiere next Saturday, February 25 and will run for four episodes! Make sure to tune in to next week’s HGPPrimetime, we’ll be posting the link for the premiere here!
- Series will include a background on our tributes and an extensive footage from the event!
Still in the festive spirit of Christmas, we introduce to you our Dear Seneca,” segment.

Today, we celebrated Hunger Games Philippine’s first anniversary as a Fan Organization!
This past year has been such a great ride for HGP and we didn’t expect that HGP will be where it is now.
And this won’t be possible without these people & for that we are sending you all a virtual slice of our Anniversary cake!
